The smell won’t wash off my hands I washed my hands with this soap and it was diluted. The smell was unusually strong, so I washed them with a different hand soap. Later when eating dinner, every time I raised my fork to my mouth all I could smell was this soap. Unappetizing to say the least. I hand washed a sink full of dishes in Dawn Ultra – yup, my hands still reek of Mrs. Meyer’s Basil soap. Even as I type this. I smell it. Yuk. I’ve never had a soap with a scent that won’t wash off.
You Basil Believe This Soap is Awesome!! Color me surprised! I bought this brand because it was an Amazon Instant Deal and I was just about to run out of hand soap. I was more than a little skeptical about “Basil” scented soap, and I was trying not to balk at the amount I received for the price, even considering the sale price. Love It I use this in my foaming hand soap pumps. It works really well and the lather and smell are really nice. Just add about 2 tablespoons of the soap in the foam pump container, fill the rest of the way with water, shake, and soap! If you want to make it a little softer on your hands, add a teaspoon or two of almond oil.
