Great makeup bag! Great bag for holding a lot of makeup, cinching up the sides, and away you go! I have a LOT of makeup in mine so it doesn’t fully close when cinched so the velcro flap over the top doesn’t always fully close, but it does when I take a few things out. I like the interior pockets for small things like bobbie pins and hair ties that can easily get lost in the bottom of a bag. More like a 3.5 star rating I used this as my Laboratory purse at work. Filled it with pens, highlights, a notepad, headphones, and chargers. Was like an optical illusion. Small on the outside and huge on the inside. It also was very pretty. I only take off points because after about a month of using it, the wires that are used at the opening to keep it open broke through the fabric and poked me a lot. It is possible I was too rough with it, so it may be worth giving it a try if it’s not an everyday use.

The added thickness didn’t help padding or protecting anything, and actually made it bulky and hard to open and close. It doesn’t have the support to rest on an edge or corner of a counter with or without the padding layer, but it kept things from the wet and rolling all over. The long cords are a pain but necessary and you get used to them.
