Fake alert! I’ve been using this brush for a month and a half and the gold lettering on the handle has worn off…does this mean it is a fake?I’m pretty sure this doesn’t happen on real Mason Pearson brushes.I will be returning this.
Great quality bristles, no shedding I have been enjoying this brush very much. It has a larger head than I would expect for a “pocket” style, about 4 inches long, but I don’t have any problem fitting it in my across-body purse. The bristles are very fine and nice quality, much nicer than any of my drugstore boar bristle brushes or even my Moroccanoil boar bristle round brush. The size was suitable for my fine hair, but I might consider getting one of the smaller full-sized brushes in the future.
Love Mason Pearson! There have been a lot of doubts over the authenticity of Mason Pearson brushes sold on Amazon. I’d recently bought a brush on Amazon and decided to contact Mason Pearson for a price comparison which is when they told me that there were plenty of forgeries on the market. I decided to return the brush, unopened, letting Amazon know that i was worried it was a fake. Unfortunately this and a couple of similar complaints by other customers resulted in the seller being taken off the Amazon…
