Mixed bag I’ve had theses brushes over a year now and thought the shedding would stop. The duo fiber, powder brush and free blending brush keep shedding since I bought them, but only a few hairs at a time. The angled, foundation and concealer brushes are the only ones that have no problems. Another important note is that the powder brush also bled black dye during deep washes. It kind of smelled strange too. I was confused because I thought it was made of natural black hair and only used translucent…
Not Authentic These brushes are not authentic. They are packaged nicely but are not real. I found this out when I accidentally left these brushes and my other sigma brushes in water. The handles of the real brushes swelled up with water, which indicates that it they are real wood. But, the brushes from this set did not swell or have any damage. This tells that they are not made of authentic wood, which sigma claims all their brushes are made out of wood.
If you’re hesitant, don’t be So, got these for my girlfriend as a gift. I have absolutely no clue WHAT I am looking for other than makeup brushes. Of course I wanted something nice, but I don’t know specifics so I order the “Basic” kit. Turns out, it’s not that basic at all. It comes with the essentials she needed and surpassed her quality expectations (& mine I guess too) by 100%. She is one of those that if they don’t like something, it is known… Not this time.
