I have had make up compacts last longer. I have had this compact mirror a little over a year and the hinge just broke. Plastic that holds it together has been getting brittle for awhile and it broke today. I generally dont write reviews because people get on here just after they order something or just after they get and are still excited about the product. I like the mirrors. Excellent – small yet clear This make up mirror is just the right size to keep in my pursel. It is a 3.5″ square, only 0.674″ thick, and it weights 3.5 oz.One size is 15x the other side is 1x. Unique Square Shape, 15x Magnification, & Magnetic Closure I was happy to find this compact with a 15x power magnifying mirror; most others I looked at are 10x. I was looking for this specific feature for my sister-in-law, who loved the compact my mom has had for 30 years!
