There are no instructions in the box – you have to refer back here to the listing. If you were to give it as a gift, your recipient would likely be disappointed. There is a power switch on the back of the mirror. Not only do you have to turn the power switch on (which is common sense), but then you ALSO have to touch the mirror to activate the light. Oh right, there’s a brush. Holy crap, did you know how many pores I have? I sure as heck didn’t. That was some fun info I learned the second I looked into this mirror and saw my face blown up in horrifying 10x magnification. On the one hand, it’s amazing to be able to count my individual ladystache hairs, but on the other…maybe there are some things we’re just not meant to see. If you don’t want to see your face in excruciating, unrelenting detail, you’ll probably want to get something more along the lines of a 4x…
