Excellent blade for the price. Safety razors have been around for about 100 years, so it’s amusing to me that every so often we encounter marketing promoting a safety razor and double edge blade as though it were some new great thing. That said, as a DE shaver for the last 7 years, I’ve used plenty of different brands of blades and these are fantastic quality considering their price. I wish I knew where they were manufactured (different countries tend to make very different quality blades, I opt for the Swiss or German kind…

Typical of single edged blades… There’s a reason more blades in a cartridge outsell single blades: more blades shave smoother. I happen to have a very expensive razor that takes single blades and regardless where I get them, I find that a single blade is more difficult to control than a fixed muti-blade razor.

Replacement blade for the most interesting new shaving system since Harry’s The indispensable element in the Bevel Shaving system. I use each edge for 2 or 3 shaves. If you are used to using a multi-blade razor, this is both much, much sharper – because this is a blade about as thick as a piece of paper. But because it is so thin, it won’t stand up to many uses. Think about a straight razor. You can hone a straight razor so that it has an edge as sharp as this, but like with this blade the straight razor will lose its sharpness after a few uses.
