Burnt off my hair. The hair straightener melts the “heat proof” bag onto itself when you rest it after turning off… the bag melted onto the straightener (unknown to me), and then it burnt my hair off the next time I used it. Singed it. I had to cut off 4 inches. I have had Chi’s before and this one was just not as great regardless of the dumb bag issue.
Warranty Not Valid on Online Purchases I loved the Chi. However, 21 months after I purchased the Chi Pro G2 Digital 1″ Titanium Infused Ceramic Hairstyling Iron, it stopped heating. The Chi G2 I purchased had a two year warranty. However, the warranty is VOID unless the product is purchased at a professional salon! Grrrrr! I expect more than 21 months from a straightening iron, especially given the price I paid. I thought I had purchased a quality product–apparently not so! Perfect every time I love being able to control the temperature of the iron for my fine hair. It works great for that. Also, this iron doesn’t get too hot to hold like my ghdclassic Styler. I would recommend this to anyone.
