Does not work at 50 Hz (Europe, Israel, etc.) The description says this is dual voltage, and it is, but it doesn’t say that it works only at 60 Hz (60 cycles). The electricity in Europe, Israel, and lots of other places is 50 Hz. For those places you need a dryer that is dual voltage AND 50/60 Hz. The product description is misleading because it doesn’t say that it is 60 Hz only. I returned it and bought one that is dual voltage and 50/60 Hz.
Great dryer for international travel! This is a great travel hair dryer for international travel. It was a little hard moving the dial to the correct voltage setting for international travel so you may want to do that before you go. Also, I used it in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland and noticed it could not be used in the bathroom sockets because they were all “shavers only.” Instead I had to use it in the main room with the international power adapter. If you’e traveling in Europe and staying in hotels or AirBNBs where you might not have access to a hair dryer, this is so useful. It comes out of the box set to US voltage, you’ll need a dime or a penny to insert in the tiny round button at the base of the hair-dryer, turn it all the way to the EU voltage setting.
