To get a truly fog-free reflection with your Shave Well mirror, hold it under the shower stream for a few seconds to “warm it up” right before you shave.
What is fog and why does it happen?
Fog is simply condensation. Shower water is much warmer than the air temperature of most homes. Your warm shower heats the air and it becomes saturated. This warm moist air becomes fog or condensation which collects on all cooler surfaces – like mirrors.
In the few seconds you hold your mirror under the shower spray the temperature of the moist air and the mirror equalize to create a long lasting, truly fog free image for the duration of your shower. No more temperature difference – no more fog.

Effective This mirror is actually perfect for what it does, which is give me a way to check my progress when I shave my back and shoulders. This is a chore that is easiest to do in the shower, so I needed something that I could hang on my shower wall and that would either a) not get foggy, or b) be easy to defog.
terriffic Shaving Mirror Just ordered my second Deluxe Shavewell Mirror. No, you won’t be able to get 3/4X magnification, but you will get a clear and non distorted image on a mirror that will not break, fade, scratch or mar in any way [like the other shave mirrors that I have owned]. This mirror is extremely durable. It gives you a MORE THAN ADEQUATE, non distorted facial image so that shaving in the shower is a plus. Great concept but questionable product quality I have owned this mirror for approximately 6 months. I’m a stay at home dad so only shave occasionally. Twice a week at the most. So, it has seen some use but not extensive.
