Perfect for me I have been using Astra SP and Personna Lab Blue blades with a slight preference towards the Personna blades, but still had a little irritation with both, especially in parts of my neck area. The Astra and personna worked well and are quality blades, but these Derby Premium blades seem to be the perfect blade for my skin and beard type, and I get no irritation whatsoever. I also get a much closer and smooth shave with the Derby Premiums.
Give them a chance, you wont be dissapointed. I was worried that these were just re-badged derby extra blades. Well…my worries are over. I have used these in three different razors now including my merkur Futur. I have to say they offer a very smooth close shave, almost comparable to a feather blade but maybe a bit less sharp. They have actually knocked my Gillette 7 o`clock black blades out of my go to position.
Excellent Been using the Derby blades since I started wet shaving. I threw away those expensive plastic multi-blade razors and bought several vintage Gillette double edge razors. Like a 1959 Gillette 195 Fat Boy adjustable DE razor and a 1932 Gillette Tech DE razor. These Derby blades are not too sharp as to irritate the skin. Still very sharp and get the job done nicely. One blade lasts about a week shaving everyday. The price is really a great value for the amount you get. Dump those over priced…
