Not so happy with this flat iron anymore – FAKE I had originally purchased my GHD styler 4 years ago. Was totally satisfied, then it broke 2 years later after the warranty had expired. The next one I bought turned out to be a fake. It broke after 16 months (advertisment on Amazon showed a 24 month warranty period). When I tried to take the warranty up I found out the hologram was invalid and my 24 month warranty is void. Everything on the iron looked like a real one. Very mad, I spent a lot of money on this. excellent! By far, THE BEST flat iron out there, and I’ve tried them all. Unbelievably smooth use and finish. Floating plates are wonderful. No snagging AT ALL, and it leaves my hair silky and shiny with one pass. I have long, thick, wavy/curly hair that I like to wear straight. I bought my first ghd 10 years ago. FAKE – Would give 0 Starts if Icould I can’t believe Amazon would allow one of their trusted sellers to sell fakes. I received mine today and it took about 5 seconds to realize that it was fake. I could not register it on the ghd website, and I came across the information below to help identify fakes. This straightener did not have a reset button on the plug, and had many more of the ‘give-aways’ that it was a fake! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.
