I love the classics About five years ago I decided that I was fed up with spending more on razors each month than I did on an Internet subscription, and got rid of my Gillette Mach 5 razor in favor of a Merkur safety razor. Coupled with these Merkur razor blades, I’ve had a perfect shaving solution and have never looked back.

Perfect. I can feel better about the environment Perfect. I can feel better about the environment. I had been using disposables, and these blades combined with the same brand safety razor give a better shave by far, is more enjoyable to use and I’m not spewing plastic which does not break down for thousands of years I’ve read.

Sharp blade, holds its edge longer than other safety blades I’ve tried many, many brands of safety blades over the years. I had always held off on buying Merkur because of the price, but I’ve been missing out. With what had become my previous go-to brand, I could get three shaves out of a blade. With these, I can get 5-6 shaves, that generally feel somewhat closer than with my previous brand. So still a little pricey, but worth it.
