This is a good purchase I am very pleased with the purchase of this mirror. It is replacing one that is heavier and must be plugged in. It is very inconvenient when the bathroom plug must be used. This mirror is lightweight and the magnification is very good. It is probably made of plastic but the bronze color I ordered looks very much like metal. I have not used the light yet in a dark room or in low light so I cannot speak to that feature. This takes 4 AA batteries and also comes with a removable adapter if you want…

The extra magnified side makes EVERYTHING on your face visible… Which can be a bit disturbing sometimes, Lol! But that’s the point. The opposite side is a regular mirror.
