No auto shut off if out of water This is very pretty and works well on a desk or night stand. However, I would not recommend because it doesn’t have an auto shut off if it runs out of water. I forgot to unplug it one day and it ran out of water, it was super hot to the touch and I feel lucky it didn’t start a fire. It also doesn’t have an off switch, if it is plugged in it is on. Save yourself the worry and buy one that shuts it self off or has a timer.
