Philips Norelco 9000 Prestige Electric Shaver with Precision Trimmer, Cleansing Brush and Premium Case, SP9820/88

Product Features

  • NanoTech precision blades are strengthened with thousands of nano particles that cut hair with the highest precision, delivering an extremely close shave at skin level.
  • Shaving heads are surrounded with SkinComfort rings, which have a special protective coating so the shaver glides smoothly over your skin.
  • Effortlessly shave off even a dense beard. The BeardAdapt Sensor checks hair density 15 times per second and automatically adapts the shaver to your hair.
  • Get an extremely close, smooth shave. ContourDetect heads move in 8 directions to follow every contour of your face, even catching hair in hard-to-reach areas like the neck and jawline.
  • Finish your look with the skin-friendly SmartClick precision trimmer. It is ideal for maintaining your mustache and trimming your sideburns. Also includes a skin cleansing brush for cleaning skin before shaving.

Great performance in an attractive design. But spendy. I’ve now used one of Norelco’s electric shavers for the last 15 to 20 years. This new 9000 Prestige is the third model I’ve owned, so I have plenty of experience with their products. In addition, I’ve bought two Norelcos for my sons (though not this particular model). My first Norelco was the 985RX. It had a black and silver design that I always thought looked nice. Good shaver but comparable shave compared to last model. This is a great shaver. It feels nicely weighted and definitely not cheap. The little bit of metal is a nice touch. The case is better than the last model, more sturdy and more room to fit everything. But it’s larger size does make it harder to pack if you have a lot to take on a trip. As for how well it shaves, it’s darn good but extremely comparable to the 9700 model, not enough of a difference to get if you have that model, I honestly couldn’t tell a difference between the two when it came…

Prior to the Prestige and 5 blade razor I used the S9000 and it wasn’t bad but the constant solution change was a pain at times and was a close shave. Big difference between the 9000 and the Prestige. Prestige also feels lighter and a great quality build.Update: Wanted to provide an update on the S9000 Prestige, didn’t shave for two days and…
