Great shaver Like it says in the directions, give yourself a couple of weeks to settle in. I moved to this model from a 8240XL Norelco triple header and thought that the new one didn’t shave as close. After a week I can’t tell the difference when I shave one side with the old and one with the new. Holds a charge for over a month with once a day use and washes clean easier than the 8240XL. Amazingly good shaver I’ve owned several Philips shavers over the years, but this is the best one so far. The shave is very smooth. No more than one or two passes are required to get a good shave. It’s easy to clean.Battery lasts for about a month for me, which is amazing. The only possible drawback of this shaver is that it cannot be used while charging. This is perhaps not too bad considering it charges in about 45 minutes.
The battery lasts 6 weeks It shaves quite closely and fairly quickly and it’s quiet. I held off writing a review until I found out how long it goes between charges. Well, it was delivered August 29 and the red light started blinking October 12. That’s over six weeks. I think that’s pretty good.I used my old ’90s vintage $40 weed whacker continuously from summer of ’07 thru the aforesaid August of ’16 on the original heads. (I had no idea I was supposed to change the heads.) I flinched at the $109 price…
