Best Deep Tissue massage after my bilateral TKR! After having bilateral TKR my PT uses this exclusively in their office for deep tissue massage on scar tissue throught my 8 weeks there. I liked the results so much I purchased it myself and continue to us in on my muscles Nd areas surrounding my knee every morning for stiffness and every night. It works great! The only con is it does have a slight smell as lanolin but the benefits far outweigh that!!
Excellent for IASTM I bought this for use with instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to help release adhesions along my IT band. I am very pleased with this product. The product in the package is solid, much like the texture of raw shea butter. You can use your IASTM tool or a spoon to scoop out a small amount of the product, and then place directly on the area to be massaged. Once you run it on the skin for a few seconds, it quickly melts and becomes oily. Note, a very small amount goes a long way…
Love it despite the after-feel! as a massage therapist, a lot of thought and care goes into the products I use on my clients. Deep Prep 2 is a dream come true for deep tissue work, it creates a slow glide allowing deeper muscles to be worked and a little goes a long way. It has a distinct lanolin smell and because it is waxier than normal lotions or creams, it leaves a film on the skin that doesn’t absorb. However, it is a fantastic product and well worth the money.
