Question: Do UV Nail lamps cause cancer? Are UV nail lamps Safe? Answer: UV Nail lamps emit similar UVA rays as the sun. It is unlikely that moderate use should pose any long term health risks. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, “even the most intense [UV lamps] presents only a moderate risk.” (The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Official Position on UV Light and Manicure Safety) It is always wise to be safe, however, and using a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen on your skin is recommended. Question: What is the difference between UV lamps and LED lamps? Both UV lamps and LED lamps can cure gel nail polishes. UV lamps typically require more time to cure the nail polish.

It’s a keeper It works like expected, however the timer doesn’t work, that’s why I gave it 4 stars, but for the price it’s sufficient. I figure if it stops working after some months, I got my monies worth and purchase another one. It’s better than paying the salon $30 every two weeks to a month for gel nails. I just wish It came with a carrying case for portability.

The first one I received didn’t work at all so I had to exchange it which was pretty painful and when they told me I had to … It’s ok, I wouldn’t buy it again, I wouldn’t tell my friend to buy it but I’m not just going to throw it out while it still works. Emphasis on the WHILE. The first one I received didn’t work at all so I had to exchange it which was pretty painful and when they told me I had to order another one for the increased price I was really irritated. They fixed it and send me another one, which finally worked but it’s certainly not salon quality. It’s huge and cheaply made. It’s not really wide enough…

Gets the Job Done The lamp works well. Sets the gel quickly. Multiple only concern is that i can feel the heat on my natural nail. I never felt that when i ever went to a salon to have my nails done. No…I didn’t buff my nails down too low. I’ve done that before and am careful not to do it again. Could theses lamps be too hot for repeated exposure? I do my nails about once every few months.
