Very good blades, but… This “system” sure does lubricate your face. The shaving itself feels smooth, but you don’t realize the shave isn’t as close as you thought until all the shaving gel is washed off. Oh, it’s very good, but there was still a tiny bit of stubble left on my neck and chin after many strokes –and I don’t have a heavy beard. The bank of blades is also so large that I’ll have to continue buying cheap one- or two-blade razors occasionally to shave closely around my goatee and tidy up around…

Not nearly as good as the free sample to get me hooked I got a schick hydro razor for free with the purchase of 2 cans of Edge shaving gel at Sam’s club. The free one gave me the smoothest, closest and best shave of my life.I’m 66 by the way. So I ordered these blades. To my dismay they were not nearly as smooth as the one that came with the free sample. They still give a nice close shave but not nearly as irritation free as the sample. Is this a case of bait and switch or is it simply poor quality control. I’m on first of 4. Time will tell.

I never thought I’d write about a razor!!! I NEVER thought I would leave a review of a razor!!! But, I was very impressed I felt compelled to write one. I have tried many razors and I am amazed at how expensive the refill cartridges are. I actually bought this item at a local “warehouse” membership store simply because it was more within my price range and also had the 5 blades. I thought I would give it a try – couldn’t be worse than some of the other cheaper ones I have tried. First time I used it I was actually double…
